Wellon Safety Solutions is an engineering consulting firm specializing in chemical, oil & gas and transportation worker health & safety, process safety and environmental protection.

We are based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and offer services across Canada as well as the United States, South America, Asia and Europe.

George has 20 years of safety hands-on and leadership experience in the chemical, oil and gas industries, including manufacturing, transportation and distribution, final use and waste recovery and management.  His skills include field application of safety practices; systems and procedures development, implementation and management; safety system and performance assessment, improvement and monitoring; specialized safety training; and leading teams of safety specialists.

George has global experience managing safety systems and his work has led companies to significant improvement in EHS performance and achievement of several safety awards within their industries, including a Responsible Care® Company of the Year award from the American Chemistry Council.

George has a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in chemical engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in chemistry.  He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta, a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE).
